Join or Die is an American Patriot's history lesson. I enjoyed this collection of quotes from various leaders throughout America's history. The lay out is easy to read and suitable for children and adults. The book is thought provoking and has kept me thinking about the impact these people had and have on our culture today.

I received an advance review copy for free and am leaving this review voluntarily. Thank you R. Blake Wilson and iRead Book Tours. I'm excited to be a part of this tour.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK
#ireadbooktours

When I saw the cover of this book, I almost didn’t sign up to review it. But I am so glad I did. JOIN, or DIE. – An American Patriot’s Book of Quotes by R. Blake Wilson is a wonderful book to read and I thoroughly enjoyed reading. In the beginning it tells the background of The American Flag, The Pledge of Allegience, In God We Trust and The Great Seal of the United States and many more items of the government. I love seeing the picture of the signing of the Declaration of Independence July 4, 1776, as well as a picture of the original copy of each the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. I’m so glad Wilson also included a copy of each of these that can be read. All of the things I have listed so far is worth having a copy of this book to keep on hand.

I love the Quotes section of this book, with quotes of so many of the President’s, starting with George Washington. There are also Quotes from many of America’s great men and women, such as Ben Franklin, Alexander Hamilton and Betsy Ross, just to name a few. One quote I found interesting and very different from today’s government is: A FREE PEOPLE ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of INDEPENDENCE from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government. –George Washington.

I have only touched the surface of this wonderful book, so you will need to purchase this one to read for yourself. If you are interested in how the government first got started, who were the people involved, this book would interest you. And if you would like reading Quotes from so many former leaders of our country, as well as important people, you will love this book. R. Blake Wilson does an outstanding job writing this book, and the amount of research it took to put this altogether. I am more than happy to give JOIN, or DIE Five Stars.

🖊 My review: This is a well-organized collection of quotes by Americans.
💫 What I like best is the patriotism. 📌 I would read this again with my own research to see how they read in their original context.
🤔 My rating 🌟🌟🌟🌟

🔲 Excerpts of note:
🔸ARMS in the hands of the citizens may be used at individual discretion for the defense of the country, the overthrow of tyranny or private self defense. -John Adams

🔸“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.” - Abraham Lincoln

🔸PATRIOTISM is easy to understand in America - It means looking out for yourself by looking out for your country. –Calvin Coolidge

🔸I don’t think government has a role in telling people how to live their lives. Maybe a minister does, maybe your belief in God does, maybe there’s another set of moral codes, but I Don’t Think Government Has A Role. –Clarence Thomas

🔸We must never forget that while Americans will always have our disagreements, we are a nation of incredible, decent, faithful, and peace loving citizens who all want our country to thrive and flourish and be very, very, successful and good. We are a truly Magnificent Nation! –Donald J. Trump

🔸No dream is too big. No challenge is too great. Nothing we want for our future is beyond our reach. –Donald J. Trump

Join, Or Die BY R. Blake Wilson is in a word, outstanding.

By combining quotes, verses, poems, declarations, and history R. Blake Wilson created a book that should literally be in every home and classroom in the United States.

Here are a couple of my favorite included quotes:

“When governments fear the people there is LIBERTY.
When the people fear the government there is TYRANNY.”
~ Thomas Jefferson

“These are the times that try men’s souls.
The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in the crisis, shrink from the service of their country: but he that stands it now deserves the love and thanks of man and woman.”
~ Thomas Paine

“Socialism in general has a record of failure so blatant that only an Intellectual Could Ignore Or Evade It.” ~ Thomas Sowell

I could honestly go on for a while on why I sincerely love this book. But in reality, I think you should check it out for yourself. So, you get the same ah-ha moments, smiles, and feelings of American Patriotism that AMERICA was founded on.

I have R. Blake Wilson on my authors to watch list because I will definitely be buying the rest of the books he writes.

5 Stars.

*I volunteered to read this book in return for my honest feedback. The thoughts and opinions expressed within are my own.

Join, or Die is a book of select quotes from various figure throughout history. They are inspiring and will make you feel a sense of pride, and you may even learn a little something. There is also a small bit of history at the beginning of the book, which includes the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.
It's an easy to read book featuring quotes from historical figures such as Lincoln, Washington, Fredrick Douglass, and Ralph Waldo Emerson, as well as quotes from more recent figures (from the last 50+ years) such as Reagan, MLK Jr, JFK, Clarence Thomas, Kristi Noem, and yes, even Trump.
BUT, this is not some biased political book. Regardless of your political party, or whatever label you choose to stamp yourself with, this is a book that anyone and everyone can read. It's a collection of important, inspiring, patriotic quotes that come from both sides of the spectrum, and whether you were born here or chose to come here as an immigrant, this book will make you proud to be an American.

Join or Die is a unique book of patriotic quotes by historical figures and leaders. I was raised in a military family and married a serviceman, so I’ve always considered myself a proud American, patriotic, and appreciative of our liberties. I stand behind those who’ve shaped this country and those who’ve fought for it as well.

This book is inspiring and reflective. It’s important to be thoughtful of the past and how it has molded our present days. It’s also beneficial to keep a positive, appreciative, and hopeful outlook.

If you are interested in the history of the United States and what it stands for, and if you support the principles and beliefs of patriotism, you’ll love this stirring book of meaningful quotes.

First Line: Join, or die, is a political emblem attributed to Benjamin Franklin.

Join or Die: An American Patriot's Book of Quotes by R Blake Wilson is a fabulous book to read. My young son was excited to see it when I first received it and took it over before I had a chance to read it. He greatly enjoyed reading the various patriotic quotes from the founding fathers to present American leaders. It was nice to see a book that was not one that divided political parties but gave some wonderful messages from all parties throughout history. I found them inspiring and saw how most of them have been relevant for our country through the years. I love that it included the text of the Declaration of the Independence, Constitution and the Bill of Rights. It was a great little lesson for my son and it was great to sit and talk to him to see what all he learned.

I am giving Join or Die: An American Patriot's Book of Quotes a very well deserved five plus stars. I highly believe readers who enjoy reading historical figures, inspiring messages and patriotic quotes will definitely want to grab this one. It will be placed on my limited keeper shelf to have on hand to read again and again. I will be looking for more books like this by R Blake Wilson in the future.

I received a paperback copy of Join or Die: An American Patriot's Book of Quotes from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

The author's passion for America is evident by his use of all caps for the things most meaningful to him. I do believe that the read would be able to see the importance of these words without that. However, I did enjoy reading these words of history that provide the foundation of our nation. This ebook was received from Goodreads.

Great quotes

So often while reading through this I thought about making memes out of them. We as a people have forgotten what true freedom is and the cost that came with it. Instead, we allow ourselves to be led by others' ideologies. These pages remind that it is our purpose to defend and hold to our rights.

Succinct reminders of core Patriot thought.

These quotations epitomize the thinking of the Conservative Right. I would love to see a comparable volume of thoughts from the Progressive Left. The contrast would be telling.

Aburridisimo. Un libro tal y como lo dice su título para patriotas gringos, lleno de citas de frases de proceres gringos y...Donald Trump. Así de extremista es. Encendamos las cruces, ¿donde deje mi capucha blanca?

This book explains early flags of the United States and various symbols. Then it gives over a hundred quotations from historical figures and patriots throughout our country's history. I was gratified that almost all the quotations were from conservatives. Exceptions: JFK and MLK.

I got this book through a giveaway for an honest review.

I am not the demographic for this book.
And if you are, you probably know that you are.

Book filled with quotes about tyranny and freedom.
Very quick read. Some interesting quotes, but not a whole lot that were really good.

trash.

Any person who idolizes DJT as a man of principal isn’t worth reading. This is one such book. And it promotes the debunked ‘stolen election’ myth

A conservative, or history, enjoyable read of several past (and a few present) presidents, politicians, or pundits. The quotes are all about Liberty and personal responsibility.

Sadly, the American Patriot this book is aimed at is an uncritical, and rightist, selective one. A problem with quotes in general is that they are often (usually?) taken out of context.
