The Brown Building is a community center in the Azalea Park neighborhood of City Heights in San Diego, CA. We acknowledge that we operate on stolen Kumeyaay land and that colonizers named our county.

We are a space run BY Black and brown transgender people FOR Black and brown transgender people- but we welcome everyone. Our leadership currently consists of Adrian Donovan Scott - the Executive Director, and Xayn Naz - the Art Director.

We are committed to creating a safer environment for our trans siblings by providing various gender-affirming items and offering a space for people to explore themselves and meet other like-minded community members.

The Brown Building is not a 501(c)3. We are a grassroots organization relying on regular donations to keep our doors open.

The Brown Building also regularly provides food and clothing to our houseless neighbors.

We've been host to experimental art and music shows, community meetings, art markets, various queer educational events, and much more.
