About this event

2021 is going to be a great gardening season!

We're glad you want to garden with us! PGP is a membership organization with a mission to provide organic edible gardens in order to teach everyone how to grow their own food.

Before you register, please make sure you can spend 2-4 hours over the course of the 2021 season helping in the general garden areas. We need everyone’s participation to sustain and maintain the gardens.  If you can’t make a scheduled socially-distant PGP workday, that’s ok. There’s always plenty to do, and we'll make sure to post that info.  The gardens are only as good as the volunteers that make them great. Please consider our request before signing up for 2021. Our gardens are one of the places you can make a difference on your own or in a group.

Garden membership is $85 for the growing season. Vedgewater will open May 1st and close November 7. The opening date is one week later than other PGP gardens, due to the amount of work needed for cleanup and plot refurbishment. Can you help out? Please come on Saturday, April 24th from 10:30am-12:30pm to do some weeding and rebuild some beds that are old/broken.

Membership includes online classes and education through our partner City Grange, some communal supplies/tools, water fee, garden mentoring (such as Grewbie 101), and your 4'x8' plot with organic soil. All gardeners MUST complete a mandatory membership orientation in order to garden with us. New to PGP due to health recommendations regarding COVID-19: all of our orientations will be held live on Zoom this year.

At this time, only one plot per family can be accommodated. Please do not try to register for more than one plot.

After completing your registration, you will receive an email with links for our mandatory Zoom orientation meetings. If you do not attend orientation, your garden plot will be released to the wait list. You may request a refund (minus $25 nonrefundable processing fee) by gardens open day of May 1st. Gardeners must plant by May 24 or we will attempt to contact you, and if you do not reply we will assume you are not going to garden and will release your plot to the waitlist. If you know you cannot meet that deadline but still want to garden, please let us know by emailing registration@petersongarden.org.

If you have any questions during the registration process, please email registration@petersongarden.org.

Happy Gardening!

Sincerely,

All of us at PGP
